“What makes us who we are?”
…I like answering this question by dropping the needle. -Scott (Gizmo) Wray
There are so many talented and knowledgeable people in Portland with incredibly rich and varied tastes in music, and record collections to match. After chatting with some of these fine folks, it became clear we all need a record listening party! Sharing influences and culture is how we define our communities. Bring a favorite record and show everyone the music that makes you… you!
This event will be held at the new Cymaspace, which means we will not only be listening to these records but also WATCHING them through Cymatic technology!
Cymaspace will be patching the audio output into the AudioLux prototype, a sound-reactive lighting controller invented by CymaSpace director, Myles de Bastion. (click here to learn more).
Bring snacks and beverages. 21+ only please. Cheers!
RSVP on Facebook here! Suggested donation $5.
